da bet7k： Some Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was revealed by Football Insider that Victor Wanyama has instructed his agent to find him a new club, before the transfer window shuts for European clubs on the 2nd of September.
The 28-year-old endured an injury ravaged 2018/19 campaign at the club, missing a total of 21 games due to issues with his knee.
Wanyama has since returned to fitness, but has slipped down Mauricio Pochettino’s midfield pecking order following the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
The Kenya international wasn’t even in the squad for the last game against Manchester City, with Pochettino instead opting to include 18-year-old Oliver Skipp – the teenager came off the bench at the Etihad Stadium.
Wanyama was a key man in his first season at the club alongside Mousa Dembele in midfield, although his Spurs career looks to be coming to an end due to injuries and the sheer amount of options ahead of him.
With just two years remaining on his contract, Wanyama’s desire to leave north London, combined with his status in the squad, will surely see him out the door this summer, and here’s how Spurs fans on Twitter reacted to the news…
