da bet7: Leeds managed to achieve their second win of the season on Tuesday night as they were victorious over Salford in the Carabao Cup.
The 3-0 performance was enough to ensure Marcelo Bielsa’s unbeaten start in 2019/20. Goals from Eddie Nketiah, Gaetano Berardi and Mateusz Klich completed a routine win for the Whites but there were some impressive performances from their young players too.
Jamie Shackleton earned a start and was involved in the first goal but there was also a debut for Alfie McCalmont.
The midfielder hadn’t featured for the first team before Tuesday’s win but his performance did enough to earn multiple plaudits from supporters on Twitter.
One fan said he should be the man to replace Kalvin Phillips in the holding role if he’s injured or suspended whilst another said he was assured with his passing.
A host of superlatives were thrown in the 19-year-old’s direction as he was described as a baller, being labelled as class by one individual too.
The Northern Irishman has been capped by his country at youth level and signed a contract extension with Leeds back in January.
Here’s the best of the reaction from social media.
