da betway: Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has defended Aston Villa midfielder Steve Sidwell after his challenge left Adlene Guedioura with a broken leg. The Algerian midfielder was injured late during last week’s Midlands derby between Aston Villa and Wolves at Molineux.
da roleta: Sidwell has insisted there was no intent in the challenge which has sidelined Guedioura for at least 4 months and has wished the Wolves midfielder a speedy recovery. He told www.avfc.com:
“I wish Adlene well and I hope he makes a quick and full recovery.”
“Obviously, I went in to play the ball with no malice whatsoever. My intent was purely to play the ball and I’d just like to say again that I wish him all the best in his recovery.”
Guedioura joined Wolves from Belgian club RSC Charleroi in January initially on loan. He impressed enough to earn a permanent deal at Molineux, signing a three year contract in the summer but he will now be resigned to lengthy spell on the sidelines.
