After recent speculation linking Koln’s striker Lukas Podolski to Arsenal, the German international refused to comment on the matter after the Bundesliga’s 1-1 draw against Hoffenhelm reports the Guardian.
Despite having one year left on his contract the 26 year has expressed his disappointment at how his home town club is being run. However, despite the cracks emerging at Koln, the German club are still adamant that they can convince their most valuable player to stay.
Podolski’s reply to the German press concerning his potential move to the Emirates leaves his Koln future uncertain. When asked if he would be leaving Koln to join Arsenal Lukas replied “I have nothing to say. Next question”.
Koln’s director of sport Volke Finke is equally keeping quiet about the future of his striker advising Bild newspaper “We don’t want to give any indication at all as to what stage we are at”.
It seems quite inevitable that he’ll be on his way in the summer, but whether he will end up moving to the Emirates remains to be seen.
